Curriculum Overview

With a focus on kindergarten readiness we offer an inquiry-based curriculum in an exploratory program where children use classroom materials to explore, discover and learn. Our early childhood curriculum covers four major developmental areas which are: Social/Emotional Development, Physical Development, Cognitive Development, and Language Development.

Social/ Emotional Development goals and objectives are in the areas of

  • Sense of Self,
  • Responsibility for Self and Others and
  • Pro-social Behavior.

Physical Development goals and objectives are in the areas of Gross Motor and Fine Motor skills.

Cognitive Development goals and objectives are in the areas of

  • Learning and Problem Solving,
  • Logical Thinking and Representation and
  • Symbolic Thinking.

Language Development goals and objectives are in the areas of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing

Zoo-Phonics An early childhood literacy program that fully involves the child's eyes, ears, mouth and body as they learn phonemic awareness and the alphabet. Through movement and activities they are having fun and processing information. To learn more about this program check out zoo-phonics.com.


High Touch High Tech will bring additional science experiences to the preschool once a month to our Monday, Wednesday, Friday classes. The children will have an opportunity to partake in concrete experiences that are engaging and instructive. Some of the topics for this year are 'Baby Animals', 'My Planet', 'Spiders' and 'Germs'.
